SUMMARY Use this guide that can assist you change the S-Video Board in a Dell Inspiron 1525.
Step 1 – Battery
Locate the battery launch switchon the underside of the laptop.
Slide the battery launch change away from the lock symbol till you hear the battery click.Slide the battery towards the again of the laptop computer until it comes free.
Remove the cover that has theheatsink by unscrewing 9 screwshighlighted in redThese screws are allcaptive besides the screwwith a lock by it
Step four – Central Management Cover
Take away the two 4.00 mm Phillips1 screws from the battery tray.
Insert the flat finish of a spudger into the slot on the proper aspect of the central control coverand pry it up.Carefully pull the central control cowl up along its edges.Do not try and utterly take away the duvet, as it’s still attached via a ribboncable.
Peel again the silver tape securing the ribbon cable to the cover.Pull the small brown latch on the ribbon cable connector out.Disconnect the ribbon cable to utterly free the central management cover.
Step 7 – Keyboard
Take away the two 5.seventy five mm Phillips 1 screws securing the keyboard to the laptop.Gently slide the keyboard in direction of the show till the tabs on its entrance facet are free.Do not drive the keyboard too far ahead or attempt to take away it yet, as there isstill a ribbon cable connected to it.
Use a spudger to gently carry the ribbon cable retaining flap.Disconnect the ribbon cable.Shift the keyboard sideways sufficient to free one side from it’s retaining tab. Then raise thekeyboard away from the laptop.
Step 9 – Arduous Drive
Take away the two 3.60 mm 1 Phillips screws securing the hard drive and arduous drive tray.Slide the exhausting drive and arduous drive tray out of the laptop.
Step 10 – Optical Drive
Take away the 5.seventy five mm 1 Phillips screw securing the optical drive.Pull the optical drive straight from the laptop.
Step 11 – Backside Cowl
Remove the eight 4.eighty mm Phillips 1 screws securing the underside panel.Take away the underside panel.
Step 12 – Display Assembly
Disconnect the 5 antennas from their respective cards.De-route the antennas from their routing retainers.
Take away the 2 5.70 mm Phillips1 screws securing the displayassembly to the bottom case half.The screw holes will bedenoted by an embossed”D” by the hole.
Use the flat end of a spudger to push the digicam connector out of its socket. Alternatepushing on both side to evenly remove the connector.Rigorously release the connector from its retaining tabs.
Push the antenna wires up via their hole in the bottom case half.Launch the antennas from their retaining tabs on the higher case.
Disconnect the flat LCD ribbon cable by pulling it up by its flap.Free the ribbon cable from its retaining clips.
Remove the four 3.45 mm Phillips1 screws securing the displayassembly to the laptop computer chassis.Assist the displayassembly as you removethese screws to forestall damageto the screw and hole threads.Remove the display assembly fromthe laptop.
Step 18 – Upper Case
Take away the 9 5.seventy five mm Phillips 1 screws on the underside facet of the laptop.Take away the two 5.70 mm Phillips 1 screws on the top facet of the laptop.
Use a spudger to drag the contact pad connector latch in the direction of the ribbon cable.Pull the ribbon cable out of the connector.
Use a spudger to tug the gadget status LED connector latch in direction of the ribbon cable.Disconnect the gadget status LED ribbon cable.
Launch the ribbon cable in the higher left nook of the laptop from its retaining tabs.Use a spudger to unplug the speaker connector on the top middle of the laptop.De-route the speaker wires from their retaining tabs.
Use the flat end of a spudger to start lifting the higher case at its front edge.Lift the entrance edge of the case up till it comes free.Work slowly and make sure to not get any cables caught within the higher case holesand guides.
Step 23 – ExpressCard Cage
Eject your ExpressCard or ExpressCard mud protect if you want to switch it to the newExpressCard cage. Eject the cardboard by urgent it in till it clicks, releasing it, then sliding itout.Remove the 3.eighty mm Phillips 1 screw securing the ExpressCard cage.Remove the 2 3.70 mm Phillips 1 screws securing the ExpressCard cage.Elevate the ExpressCard cage out of its connector.
Step 24 – Heat Sink
Loosen the 5 1 Phillips screws securing the heat sink and clean it with compressed airThese screws are attached to the warmth sink assembly.Gently carry the warmth sink from aspect indicated in the picture.The warmth sink might feel like it’s glued to the chips due to the thermal paste.Gently wiggle the heat sink backwards and forwards to help break it free.Remember to thoroughly clean off the outdated thermal paste and apply new thermal pastebefore reinstalling the warmth sink. Now to clean the interior fan in the laptop if nessacaryTo do that, spray canned air into the fan by placing the straw into the holes on the case andblow it outExpect to pay a good and/or a ID for canned air as a result of children get high off of it, unlessyou find a place there it is low-cost and does not ID
Step 26 – Motherboard
Use a spudger to push the retaining latch of the central control button connector towardsits cable.Pull the cable out of the connector.
Pull the retaining latch for the wireless sniffer cable out.Remove the cable from the connector.
Disconnect the fan cable connector by pulling it in the direction of the fan with a spudger.
Remove the 4 3.70 mm Phillips 1 screws securing the motherboard to the decrease case.Gently peel the front bezel off.Elevate the motherboard out of the lower case.
Step 30 – S-Video Board
Remove the two 5.sixty five mm Phillips 1 screws securing the S-Video board to the decrease case.Take away the S-Video board.
